Fire Hydrant Snow Removal

It’s time to adopt a hydrant and make sure your exit doors can open.

The Brighton Area Fire Department would like to remind residents and business owners alike to make fire hydrants accessible. During the recent snowfall some hydrants have become blocked by snow especially in parking areas. The Brighton Area Fire Department would like to request your help to remove the snow from around hydrants so they are visible and accessible. If you have a hydrant in your front yard, clean a 3’ circle around it.

Our Fire Marshal’s division finds many exit doors blocked by snow. All doors should be checked to make sure they can open and are not blocked by snow.

The Brighton Area Fire Department appreciates your help in keeping our community safe. Any questions, please call Chief Michael O’Brian at 810-229-6640.
