This September 11, 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the horrific attacks on American soil, killing thousands including 343 New York City Firefighters. The Brighton Area Fire Authority will pause to honor those who gave so much for their neighbors. Please join us at 615 W. Grand River Ave. in Brighton from 8:30-10am on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Our program will provide a brief reminder of the events of that day as well as a local perspective. Our goal is to pay tribute to those that perished that day, who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the war on terror; and to remember those families whose lives will forever be changed.

The 9/11 Memorial in front of Fire Station 31 has a piece of steel from the World Trade Center that the Brighton Area Fire Authority has honorably displayed to make sure that we “Never Forget” the horrific events of September 11, 2001.
