The Brighton Area Fire Authority Board, is comprised of six members that are appointed from the Governing Authorities (City of Brighton, Brighton Township, and Genoa Township). At the December 11, 2025 board meeting, the Board will consider and select a Citizen at Large to serve on the board for a two year term, beginning January 1, 2026.
Interested parties should send a letter of interest and supporting information to Fire Chief Michael O’Brian via email at [email protected] no later than December 3, 2025 at 4pm.
Interested candidates during their term of office shall be a resident of the territorial area of the Authority at large. The board of directors meets on a monthly basis, and may include additional duties as assigned by the board. Compensation for the 2025/2026 Fiscal year is $163.09 per Brighton Area Fire Authority Meeting.
